Assignment for the Gothenburg Film Festival carried out within the fictional consultancy User Experience AB. Conducted user analysis through interviews with current and potential festival visitors, followed by personas, current-state business model canvas, scenarios, and customer journey maps. Developed future-state concepts including an updated business model canvas, new scenarios, customer journey maps, and service blueprints to improve the overall festival experience.
Phase 1 - Exploring
Conducted interviews with individuals who have attended the Gothenburg Film Festival as well as those who are interested in attending in the future. We used a Business Model Canvas and Customer Journey Maps to describe the current state of the Gothenburg Film Festival.

Phase 2 - Creation/Reflection
Expand the target audience through collaboration with high schools:
The Gothenburg Film Festival is interested in attracting a younger demographic. To support this goal, we proposed a partnership with local high schools. The idea is for the festival to host an engaging competition where classes create a short film. The winning class receives a study day at the festival.
3. Introduce a personal schedule for better planning:
Both the client and interview participants highlighted that it is currently difficult to get an overview of one’s scheduled screenings. To resolve this, we proposed a personal scheduling feature that allows visitors to plan their screenings without time conflicts. This schedule would be available directly during the ticket purchasing process.
5. Develop a dedicated mobile application:
Creating a festival app that allows users to easily purchase tickets and festival passes, create a personal schedule, and chat with other film enthusiasts.
2. Collaborate with Styr & Ställ for sustainable transportation:
Styr & Ställ is a bike rental service in Gothenburg. To make it easier and more environmentally friendly for visitors to move between cinemas, we suggested offering festival attendees a discount on Styr & Ställ bikes during the festival period.
4. Create a sense of community with a visitor chat forum:
To build a stronger feeling of togetherness and shared experience among festival visitors, we suggested launching a dedicated chat forum where attendees can connect and discuss films.
